Mr. Loden is the owner of Insight Building Inspection, LLC, formerly Insight Home Inspection, founded in 1995. He has worked extensively in Alabama to raise the standards for professional home inspectors. He has attended numerous Alabama Building Commission meeting supporting the adoption of a state Standard of Practice and Code of Ethics and requirements for Errors and Omissions Insurance and competency testing for Alabama Home Inspectors. The Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics were adopted and took effect on January 1, 2004 and the requirements for Errors and Omissions Insurance and competency testing for Alabama home inspectors have been adopted and take effect on January 1, 2005.

Mr. Loden has been recognized by the Alabama Judiciary as an expert in Construction Defects and has provided consultation and expert testimony for construction defect disputes. In 2002 Mr. Loden was selected by the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors (EBPHI) as one of 18 expert home inspectors nationwide to define the practice of home inspection in the national Role Delineation Study. This study is being used to realign and validate the National Home Inspector Examination recently adopted by the State of Alabama.

Mr. Loden has also served as an on-site engineering supervisor for a large Huntsville construction company and as a consultant for a local home builder, inspecting and providing damage assessments for tornado and fire-damaged homes.
